So whilst everybody else is focussing on the bad Photoshop fails in yesterday’s royal family Mother’s Day picture, I want to draw your attention to what actually aren’t Photoshop fails but were signs deliberately placed within the image hiding a much darker secret in plain sight, a a signal to their compatriots.
First of all, Louis’ curious crossed finger gesture; nobody naturally crosses their fingers like that, it’s a deliberate sign. The crossed finger sign goes back to the 12th century and was instigated by none other than Hugues de Payens himself to enable non-combatant members of the Knights Templar order to signal their membership to fighting members in order to secure protection and establish hierarchy; whilst the combatant wing of the order was abolished in 1312, the non-combatant branch obviously continued in secret, carrying on to this day as one of the fundamental powers in the world. There are four degrees of the Templar order, going from fourth to first in hierarchy, so Louis crossing his second finger onto his third is signalling that he’s attained the third degree of membership, probably very recently.
The other signal which is Hidden In Plain Sight is Charlotte’s boots; as you can see, she is clearly wearing two completely different boots, a flat heel on her left foot and a high heel — far too high for an eight year old — on the right. The wearing of non-matching footwear in images is an old symbol indicating departure; it’s a signal to those in the know that by the time the image is released none of the people depicted in the image will be where the image depicts them as being, it’s a signal to those in the know that they too should prepare themselves for a departure.
